The Senior System Administrator (Windows) will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. This role involves monitoring system activity, implementing upgrades, vulnerability management, and providing technical support to users. The candidate will be part of a team of qualified, diverse individuals working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include building, configuring, deploying, administering, maintaining, and troubleshooting virtual and physical servers/systems. The candidate will evaluate and assess developer-provided documentation and media to meet installation deadlines with provided resources, make recommendations to plan, develop, and execute work plans that achieve critical-path requirements, and manage system changes in accordance with developer documentation and configuration management practices. Additionally, the Senior System Administrator will provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems, install, configure, and manage an on-prem Active Directory environment, assist integration leads and managers in problem definition and analysis, and advise team members and leadership on technical recommendations regarding system development issues. The role requires tracking and reporting installation progress to appropriate managers, performing necessary physical inspections and research using system/event logs, and coordinating with multiple internal and external team members and government representatives to accomplish daily duties. The position is based at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO, and requires a DoD Secret clearance.
