This position can be located in Waltham, MA, Brooklyn, NY, Hicksville, NY, Melville, NY, or Syracuse, NY (candidates may also reside in either Connecticut, Jersey, Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Maine). As a Senior System Administrator, you'll be responsible for day-to-day system configuration and ongoing testing and improvements for HR applications. You'll work within the HR Technology Team, alongside Global Product Owners with responsibility for SuccessFactors Employee Central, Recruitment, Onboarding, Performance, Compensation, Learning modules, and other integrated applications. You'll be primarily responsible for one or more SuccessFactors modules (based on experience), with cross-training requirements to support other designated modules and integrated applications. Key responsibilities include being the central technical subject matter expert and enterprise administrator, driving the configuration and optimization of the system to support business needs globally. You will work with a third-party application support team to manage system configuration, architecture, role-based permissions, data integrity, and releases, and monitor and drive the resolution of defects providing guidance and testing where necessary. You will support Product Owners to develop solutions to system challenges, collect user requirements, research technical practices, and engage with the SAP SuccessFactors community and user groups to stay on top of leading practices. Additionally, you will execute and coordinate User Acceptance Testing and Regression Testing for designated system changes and defect fixes, manage your work and projects, navigate ambiguity, and build collaborative relationships to enable an exceptional user experience. You will also take on responsibility that may be broader than your own work as part of the HR Systems team, partnering on other HR projects, facilitate power user group sessions to provide training or updates, and solve problems while informing effectively to all stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Requirements

  • B.A./B.Sc. degree in Business, Computer Information Systems, Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • HRIS experience, preferably using SuccessFactors or other similar HR ERP systems.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience on large teams solving complex problems.
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Visio or other similar software.
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and analysis skills.
  • Excellent teamwork, verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms.
  • Project and time management skills.
  • Previous experience with reporting and data analysis preferred.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment preferred.
