This position requires troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of moderate to high scope and complexity, including the integration of hardware and operating systems. The individual will be responsible for installing and configuring hardware and operating systems, developing solutions and documentation for a variety of technical problems, and ensuring systems are operational 24x7, which may occasionally require work beyond standard hours. This position is a 100% onsite role.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot technical problems of moderate to high scope and complexity.
  • Integrate hardware and operating systems.
  • Install and configure hardware and operating systems.
  • Develop solutions and documentation for various technical problems.
  • Ensure systems are operational 24x7, with occasional work beyond standard hours.

Requirements

  • Typically, a Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience or 6 years of directly related experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • Experience in VMware vCenter, vSphere, VDI (Horizon), ESX, and/or other virtual computing methods.
  • Must be able to obtain DoDD 8140 / 8570 Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) within 6 months of start date.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF.
  • In-depth working experience in Windows Servers.
  • Experience with data storage solutions.
  • Experience using Information Technology project lifecycle management processes.
  • Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.
  • Experience hardening systems using tools like SCAP and following STIGs.
  • Experience with Enterprise Active Directory (AD) & LDAP.
  • Scripting experience.
