About the position

The Senior System Administrator role at Akkodis is a contract-to-hire position primarily focused on providing support for O365/Azure, Windows Server, and VOIP systems. The position requires a hands-on approach to infrastructure management, including tasks ranging from client hardware setup to comprehensive network and server administration. Candidates must be located within a 100-mile radius of Mobile, AL, and be prepared to work mostly remotely with occasional on-site requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide O365/Azure support and administration.
• Manage Windows Server environments and ensure performance tuning.
• Handle VOIP systems and related tasks.
• Perform a wide range of infrastructure duties, including client hardware setup.
• Oversee network, systems, and server-related tasks.
• Utilize ConnectWise for system management and support.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in Azure System Administration.
• At least 4 years of experience with networking technologies and principles.
• 4-5 years of experience with governance of cloud resources using role-based access control (RBAC).
• 4-5 years of experience with automation and scripting such as PowerShell.
• In-depth experience building and managing IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS in Azure environments.
• Expert-level experience in Windows Server Administration and Performance Tuning.
• Expert-level experience in Active Directory, Azure AD, OAuth, and Multifactor Authentication.
• Experience with identity management and federated identity solutions.
• Thorough understanding of security certificates: implementation, administration, and maintenance.
• Minimum 4 years of tier 3 escalated incident response and troubleshooting experience.
• Understanding of virtualized environments, backup, and configuration.
• Thorough understanding of infrastructure/cloud best practices and key systems architecture considerations.
• Experience with production monitoring software for vulnerability scanning and threat detection.
• High degree of understanding of networking concepts like VPNs, NAT, IP routing, ACLs, and Load Balancers.
• Familiarity with database-driven applications.
