About the position

As a Senior System Engineer and Delivery Order Lead at Lockheed Martin, you will play a crucial role in managing and delivering complex systems engineering projects. This position involves engaging with project management teams, collaborating with engineers, and ensuring compliance with best practices in system development. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle support of systems, including analysis, design, integration, testing, and deployment, while also providing technical direction and support to government engineers.

Responsibilities

• Engage with members of the PMO to provide schedule and milestone status and risk assessment/escalation.
• Participate in regular meetings and reporting activities with customer stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the program's Chief Engineer on solution development to ensure compliance and best practices.
• Contribute to the development of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans and Requirements Specifications.
• Manage system requirements to ensure delivery of production systems compatible with defined architectures.
• Establish and gain approval of system definitions under development, including requirements and designs.
• Provide technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software systems.
• Assist government engineers in creating and managing system product line standards and databases.

Requirements

• Active security clearance with a polygraph.
• Twenty years of experience as a Systems Engineer in programs of similar scope and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, or related discipline from an accredited institution (or equivalent experience).
• Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts.
