About the position

The Integration and Test Engineer at Lockheed Martin plays a crucial role in supporting testing efforts and coordinating activities at customer sites. This position requires strong communication skills to effectively explain procedures and collaborate with team members. The engineer will be involved in updating operational procedures, training personnel, and leading software testing projects while ensuring that schedules and resources are properly managed. The role may require occasional weekend or evening work to support 24x7 operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in updating operational procedures and documentation and training packages.
• Train crew personnel in software upgrades and procedures.
• Perform work under general direction.
• Solve moderately complex problems with minimal assistance.
• Lead projects pertaining to software testing and transition, ensuring schedules, activities, requirements, and resources are properly coordinated.
• Report technical results, quality, and schedule objectives for assigned tasks.
• Coordinate and conduct Operational Release Level (ORL) testing.
• Conduct external segment interface verification and system demos.
• Define test requirements and system transition procedures.
• Develop, write, and issue test documents including test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Coordinate and schedule system resources to support testing.
• Participate in Test Status Meetings.
• Support integration and plan for future deliveries and systems.
• Troubleshoot basic system anomalies.
• Participate in engineering review boards.
• Coordinate and support off-hours testing and associated projects.

Requirements

• Software testing experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to conduct customer and management briefings
• Attainment of SEC+ within 6 months

Nice-to-haves

• Previous DARKWING operational experience
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies
• Experience and understanding of the Discrepancy Reporting Tool
• Experience working in an operational environment
