About the position

The Senior Systems Administrator/Analyst at ManTech International plays a crucial role in maintaining and troubleshooting Windows servers and workstations, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems that support national security initiatives. This position involves direct customer interaction, incident management, and collaboration with a diverse team to deliver high-quality service and support.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain/troubleshoot Windows servers and workstations, both on-site and remote
  • Perform Windows system administrative support including user management and software installation
  • Maintain domain controllers, file servers, application servers, and cloud resources
  • Receive and triage customer incidents in the ticketing system
  • Log all tickets accurately within the ticketing system following standard operating procedures
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques
  • Escalate unresolved tickets to the next tier of support
  • Engage with customers throughout the incident resolution process
  • Ensure quality and productivity standards are maintained while meeting customer timelines
  • Assist in configuring baseline switches, routers, and PCs for deployment
  • Coordinate equipment preparation and shipping, confirm customer receipt, and validate inventories
  • Perform remote site surveys and identify hardware and cabling requirements

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience as a System Analyst/Administrator or similar role
  • DoD 8570 Level II certification
  • Experience with network and patch management
  • Knowledge of system security, data backup/recovery, and network monitoring
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve issues to resolution
  • Excellent customer interaction with a focus on positive service support

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science
  • DoD 8140-451 Intermediate Certification (Cloud+ or GICSP or SSCP or GSEC) or equivalent DoD/Military Training
  • Experience using ticketing systems such as Remedy or ServiceNow
  • ITIL 4 Foundations certification
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)
