About the position
Kemper is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Systems Administrator to join the Network Operations team. This role is crucial for maintaining the MicroFocus Environment, which includes software installation, patching, and training. The position also involves troubleshooting within the Control M tool and providing secondary support for the Mainframe environment. The ideal candidate will contribute to various projects and provide mentoring to team members, ensuring a high-performing culture and a positive impact on customer experiences.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the MicroFocus environment on Mainframe and distributed systems, including installation of software, patches, and upgrades.
- Provide secondary support for the Mainframe environment.
- Responsible for providing Attestation and audit reports.
- Contribute to various projects, following both traditional and agile project management methods.
- Provide mentoring and technical assistance to other team members as needed.
Requirements
- 4-year degree in an information technology related discipline and/or 5 years related work experience.
- 3 years' experience with MicroFocus infrastructure and setting up and troubleshooting of schedules.
- An understanding of mainframe support.
