About the position
The Senior Systems Administrator role involves managing and supporting large-scale Windows-based environments, including both commercial and government applications. The position requires expertise in Windows Server administration and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in both physical and virtual environments. The ideal candidate will also have experience with load balancers and limited Linux/UNIX administration.
Responsibilities
- Provide Windows administration for Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022.
- Monitor server performance and manage Group Policy.
- Handle Active Directory replication and PowerShell scripting.
- Troubleshoot issues in physical and virtual environments.
- Configure and manage virtual infrastructure technologies, including VMware and Hyper-V.
- Address and resolve tickets escalated through ServiceNow from other support teams.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with Windows Server administration (2012/2016/2019/2022).
- Proficiency in Group Policy management and Active Directory.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with VMware and Hyper-V for virtual infrastructure management.
- Basic knowledge of Linux and/or UNIX Operating Systems.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with F5 load balancer administration.
