About the position

As a Senior Systems Analyst specializing in Business Intelligence, you will lead the development of dashboards and reports that provide key financial and operational metrics. Utilizing tools such as QlikView, Qlik Sense, and PowerBI, you will spearhead the overall development of Business Analytics solutions, employing agile development practices to ensure timely and effective delivery. Your role will encompass the entire lifecycle of solution delivery, from gathering technical requirements to development, testing, and deployment phases. In addition to your development responsibilities, you will serve as the Data Architect, determining the optimal architecture for solutions and driving the strategy for implementation and execution. You will plan, design, and implement the data architecture necessary for various reporting and dashboard initiatives, ensuring that the solutions are robust and scalable. Your expertise will also be critical in reviewing application code, making recommendations for enhancements, and ensuring that the development team is leveraging Qlik resources effectively. Collaboration will be key in this role, as you will work closely with IT, Operations, Sales and Marketing, Finance, and other relevant organizational areas to identify potential solutions for various initiatives. You will manage the development efforts of an offshore team, reviewing and approving code submissions, and ensuring that the team meets the expectations set by management. You will also be responsible for conducting application reviews to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and performance guidelines. Your technical skills will be utilized to extract, consolidate, and compile data from SQL Server, Oracle, and various API endpoints using standard structured query language. Additionally, you will analyze data, design, create, and manage databases and their underlying objects and data structures, assisting in architecting overall Business Intelligence solutions and developing strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of dashboards and reports for key financial and operational metrics using QlikView, Qlik Sense, PowerBI and other reporting tools.
• Lead the overall development of Business Analytics solutions using agile development practices.
• Deliver solutions from technical requirements through development, testing and deployment phases.
• Serve as Data Architect for solution strategy, determining how to architect the solution.
• Drive the strategy and oversee implementation/execution.
• Plan, design and implement the data architecture for various reporting and dashboard initiatives.
• Review application code and make recommendations for code enhancements to optimize Qlik resources.
• Collaborate with IT, Operations, Sales and Marketing, Finance and other relevant organizational areas to determine potential solutions for various initiatives.
• Manage development efforts of offshore team by reviewing and approving code when delivered.
• Direct the offshore team to ensure they meet expectations set by management and ensure timelines are met.
• Field escalations on coding questions.
• Conduct application reviews to ensure compliance with established standards, policies and performance guidelines.
• Extract, consolidate, and compile data from SQL Server, Oracle and various API endpoints (JSON) using standard structured query language.
• Review existing design and introduce new enhancements to ETL processes and data model relationships.
• Analyze data, design, create and manage databases and the underlying objects and data structures.
• Assist in architecting overall Business Intelligence solutions and developing strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5 years' post-Baccalaureate experience as Systems Analyst or similar occupation, including SQL, data integration, analytics and reporting, working with structured and unstructured data in traditional and NoSQL databases.
• 3 years' experience with large QlikView & QlikSense application design, performance improvement and implementation.
• Experience with multiple relational and OLAP database environments.
• Service-oriented applications development and web development.
