About the position

As a Senior Systems Analyst at GDIT, you will play a crucial role in delivering innovative solutions to complex problems, specifically tailored to meet the unique requirements of our clients within the Department of Defense. Your primary focus will be on application development, ensuring that the end user's experience is prioritized while also fostering your own career growth. This position is based at Point Mugu, California, where you will be involved in development, testing, analysis, and documentation in support of NAWCWD AEA IPT operations, planning, and management. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough research and analysis, testing, and developing procedures. You will provide recommendations and direction for the design, development, and testing of airborne electronic warfare systems. Your expertise will be essential in reviewing and recommending improvements to the design of electronic warfare (EW) systems, as well as aiding in the creation and maintenance of development, test, and overall systems engineering documentation. You will ensure that all development, testing, reviews, and installations are conducted in accordance with established policies and procedures. As part of an Agile/SCRUM team, you will assist in maintaining conformance to plans and schedules while providing mentorship and support to other team members. Your participation in Government Program and Engineering meetings will be vital, as you will provide support and feedback on developed software, system/subsystem test events, and draft documents through peer reviews, functional testing, compatibility testing, and design reviews. Your ability to quickly learn new materials and adopt new technologies will be key to your success in this position, as will your strong communication skills and critical thinking abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform research and analysis, testing, procedure development/management, and provide recommendations for design, development, and testing of airborne electronic warfare systems.
  • Research, review, and provide recommendations to the design of EW systems.
  • Aid with creation and maintenance of development, test, and overall systems engineering and procedural documentation.
  • Ensure development, test, reviews, and installations are conducted according to policy and procedures.
  • Participate in Agile/SCRUM process and assist with conformance to plans and schedules.
  • Provide mentorship and support to other team members as necessary.

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance, Top Secret eligible.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of related experience.
  • Solid understanding of Electronic Warfare (EW).
  • Experience with Electronic signals intelligence (ELINT) analysis.
  • Experience with analysis of Navy airborne EW systems.
  • Technical writing skills.
  • Procedure creation experience.
  • Proactive attitude and continual process improvement mindset.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
