About the position

The Innovation and Technology Department (ITD) is accepting applications for Senior Systems Analyst. This position will work in the Enterprise Infrastructure Division supporting the County's enterprise IT infrastructure. This position has extensive knowledge and expertise to support multiple enterprise level systems. The incumbent assumes a countywide role, providing knowledge and leadership in server and storage hardware, virtualization technology, load-balancing technologies, and disaster recovery/business continuity.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple enterprise level systems.
• Provide knowledge and leadership in server and storage hardware.
• Manage virtualization technology.
• Oversee load-balancing technologies.
• Implement disaster recovery/business continuity strategies.

Requirements

• Three (3) years of work experience, within the past five (5) years, performing systems administration at the enterprise level.
• Experience must include two (2) of the following: Administration and maintenance of virtualization technologies, network load balancing technologies, storage systems, server hardware, or High Availability/Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity.
• Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed, post high-school coursework from an accredited university or technical school in Computer Information Systems, Business/Public Administration, or a closely related field.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience configuring and installing server, storage and network equipment.
• Ability to analyze complex server, storage, and network systems to troubleshoot problems and make improvements.
• Work well in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments in an organized manner.
