About the position

The Senior Systems Design Engineer at Sentrillion is a pivotal role focused on designing advanced security solutions, including intrusion, access control, surveillance, and network systems. This remote position emphasizes innovation, flexibility, and work-life balance, allowing the engineer to leverage their expertise in low-voltage equipment to make a significant impact in the security industry. The role involves programming, commissioning, and training end-users on cutting-edge systems, ensuring compliance with local codes and standards, and contributing to project proposals and cost estimations.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement intrusion, access control, surveillance, and network systems.
• Conduct initial site surveys to address customer concerns.
• Develop detailed proposal submittal packages with equipment specifications and site drawings.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, life safety, and ADA standards.
• Contribute to cost estimating and bill of materials creation.
• Create construction drawings and technical documentation.
• Program and commission access control and surveillance systems.
• Conduct end-user training on installed systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Technology, or a related field, or 6 years of relevant experience in electronic and/or security system design.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems, security solutions, fiber optics, and/or electrical technical fields, with at least 3 years focused on System Design.
• Certifications in Technology Systems/Components such as Network+, Security+, PSP, ITIL, and/or CISSP are preferred.
• Experience with IP cameras design and field installation.
• Proficiency in technical writing for Statement of Work (SOW), technical upgrades/recommendations, and bid and proposal purposes.
• Supervisory experience is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government-issued security clearance.
