About the position
The Senior Systems Engineer (Data Protection) position is a full-time role supporting the Department of Justice's National Security Division. The primary focus of this role is to design, implement, and maintain data protection solutions to ensure the security and recovery of critical data. The position requires a candidate with extensive experience in systems engineering and administration, particularly in data protection technologies, and necessitates an active Top Secret clearance.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, optimize, maintain, upgrade, and document Data Protection solutions.
- Ensure the restoration of a virtual machine on each network and each location meets the Recovery Point Objective (RPO) and Recovery Time Objective (RTO).
- Perform operation and maintenance activities as a systems administrator.
Requirements
- 10+ years of Systems Engineering/Administration experience.
- Expertise with Data protection solutions such as NetApp, Dell Appassure, Dell EMC, Veem, etc.
- Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Infrastructure Certifications required.
- Active Top Secret clearance required.
