About the position

The Senior System Engineer/DevSecOps Engineer / Domain Controller SME position at Collins Aerospace involves supporting the C2BMC DevSecOps team in developing and deploying Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service capabilities. The role requires expertise in Active Directory management and automation, focusing on designing, implementing, and maintaining a highly available Active Directory infrastructure. The position emphasizes collaboration within a team while also allowing for independent work on large projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support the C2BMC DevSecOps team in developing and deploying Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service capabilities.
  • Design, implement, and maintain the Active Directory infrastructure.
  • Lead the design and support of a highly available Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) infrastructure.
  • Monitor Active Directory components and perform periodic system health checks.
  • Manage configurations, objects, and structures within Active Directory.
  • Perform patching and upgrades (hardware and software) for the Active Directory environment.
  • Create and maintain scripts for automation of processes.
  • Document and follow best practices based on industry standards.

Requirements

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret clearance is required prior to start date.
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience.
  • Experience managing and maintaining a mid-large multi-site/multi-domain Active Directory environment.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies, especially VMWare.
  • Skills in logical/physical architecture modeling and CI/CD pipeline architecture.
  • Effective communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio.

Nice-to-haves

  • Active Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Experience in implementing solution designs compliant with Federal and DoD guidance.
  • Experience as a Senior IT analyst covering requirements analysis, system design, project management, and enterprise strategy.
