About the position

The Senior Systems Engineer/DevSecOps Engineer will work onsite at Collins Aerospace in Redstone Arsenal, AL, focusing on developing and deploying Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service capabilities. The role requires expertise in Active Directory management and automation, ensuring a highly available infrastructure while adhering to best practices and industry standards. The position demands collaboration with various teams to support complex mission requirements in the aerospace and defense sector.

Responsibilities

  • Support the C2BMC DevSecOps team in developing and deploying Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service capabilities.
  • Design, implement, and maintain Active Directory infrastructure with a focus on automation.
  • Lead the design and support of a highly available Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) infrastructure.
  • Monitor Active Directory components and perform system health checks.
  • Manage configurations, objects, and structures within Active Directory.
  • Perform patching and upgrades for hardware and software.
  • Document procedures and follow best practices based on industry standards.
  • Implement changes to Active Directory to support project needs.
  • Administer a multi-site Active Directory 2016/2019 infrastructure, including Group Policy management.

Requirements

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret clearance required prior to start date.
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
  • Experience managing and maintaining a mid-large multi-site/multi-domain Active Directory environment.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies, especially VMware, and automation of those environments.
  • Skills in logical/physical architecture modeling and CI/CD pipeline architecture.
  • Effective communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio.

Nice-to-haves

  • Active Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Experience in implementing compliant solution designs and operating environments for Federal and DoD guidance.
  • Experience as a Senior IT analyst covering requirements analysis, system design, project management, and enterprise strategy.
