About the position
The Senior Systems Engineer plays a crucial role in leading and supporting engineering and technical development projects within the Systems Engineering team, focusing on satellite communication systems, including satellites and ground products. This position involves defining systems engineering requirements, conducting performance analysis, and providing support for new development projects and proposals.
Responsibilities
- Defines systems engineering requirements and performs analysis.
- Runs system performance analysis.
- Develops test plans and performs testing and test result analysis.
- Provides systems engineering support for new satellite and ground network development projects.
- Provides systems engineering support for proposal evaluation for new service business.
- Provides systems engineering support to other groups to work with external vendors.
- Defines and supports the development of telecommunication data analytics tools.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent engineering degree required.
- Master's degree in electrical engineering with specialization in wireless communication preferred.
- At least 10+ years of experience in engineering, systems design, or other related fields.
- Prior satellite communication experience desired.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with NetSuite.
- Knowledge of 3GPP standards is desired.
- Familiarity with Matlab, Python, Power BI, Grafana desired.
- Experience with test equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters, network analyzers, etc.
