About the position

The System Engineer position at Blue Origin is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, focusing on the development of the Blue Moon lander product lines. This role is crucial for managing vehicle-level requirements and verifications, directly impacting the future of space exploration. The engineer will collaborate with various partners, including NASA, to ensure the safe and effective transport of crew and cargo to the lunar surface, contributing to Blue Origin's vision of enabling millions of people to live and work in space.

Responsibilities

• Manage requirements at element to element and system of systems level, collaborating with NASA and the team on new or modified requirements.
• Define system-level interfaces that cross element boundaries in collaboration with multiple partners.
• Manage the definition of interface requirements between systems and elements.
• Develop program-level verification event definitions, including system-level verification events and integration of element-level events.
• Create system-level verification closure products, including preparation of Validation Closure Notices for Blue Origin and NASA purposes.
• Track metrics against plans to develop and closeout requirements and verification products.
• Perform technical work and provide technical leadership.

Requirements

• Technical expertise in systems engineering and integration.
• Experience in requirements management and verification processes.
• Strong leadership skills and commitment to quality in engineering practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with partners, including NASA.
