About the position

The Senior Systems Engineer/Risk Manager at Peraton will play a crucial role in supporting the integration of new sensor capabilities into the Enterprise architecture for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). This position involves risk management responsibilities, including representing sensor product development teams in risk forums, establishing best practices for risk management, and performing risk evaluations and assessments. The role is essential for ensuring the safety and security of national interests through effective systems engineering and integration support.

Responsibilities

• Representing the Sensor Product Development Teams at the Enterprise and Joint Risk forums and boards.
• Establishing best practices and coordinating implementation of relevant risk management frameworks across several technology aligned risk teams.
• Performing risk evaluations, assessments, and assisting in risk mitigation plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or related technical/scientific fields, or equivalent experience (4 years without a degree, or 2 years with a non-STEM degree).
• 12+ years of experience in government or industry relevant to DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process, or systems engineering of large complex System of Systems.
• Strong understanding of the systems engineering life cycle.
• Experience with governance of the Risk Management process.
• Experience with risk identification, assessment, and mitigation planning.
• Experience maintaining a Risk Register and using Risk Management tools such as Jira and Tableau.
• Experience facilitating and managing forums such as Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs), Risk Working Groups (RWG), and Risk Management Boards (RMB).
• Working experience with NGA/NRO joint integration activities.
• Working knowledge of NGA IPO infrastructure.
• TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.
