Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer (SQL DBA) This position is hybrid - working 2 days a week in the Denton, Texas Support Center. At Sally Beauty Holdings, we find beauty in diversity. We are looking for an experienced SQL DBA / Engineer to develop and manage infrastructure projects and processes. A passion to learn and try new things, keen attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and solid knowledge base are essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently are crucial. The ideal candidate will be efficient with SQL codes/queries, proficient in PowerShell, and have the capacity to learn additional scripting tools. Knowledge of Azure Cloud and Oracle Cloud is also important, and the candidate should be willing to go on-call if needed. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems with 8 years of relevant programming skills. The candidate must have SQL Database knowledge and experience in SQL Series, coding, and queries. Familiarity with Azure Cloud or similar platforms and VMware is necessary, while knowledge of Oracle Cloud is a plus but not required. Additionally, 3 years of team leadership experience is expected. The primary duties of this position include writing new code or modifying existing code to meet the requirements of company business applications, providing production support, performing review, analysis, and design on new assignments, occasionally leading or directing the work of others, and complying with existing documentation requirements for the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Payment Card Industry (PCI) requirements. The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated, and the work is primarily sedentary, with some walking, standing, and light carrying of items such as papers and files.
