About the position

Raytheon is seeking a Senior System Engineer to join our System Integration team. This role is critical in supporting system-level radar or weapon systems integration planning, execution, and reporting. As a Senior System Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing integration documentation, such as plans, procedures, and integration information sheets. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, analyze data for hardware, software, and simulations, and utilize data analysis results to support issue identification and resolution as well as system-level requirements verification. Collaboration across engineering functions is essential to drive performance and resolve issues, and you will interface with internal and external customers to find technical solutions to complex requirements. Additionally, you will generate technical documentation in support of requirements integration and verification. This position requires a flexible schedule to support integration and test activities during the 2nd shift in Pelham, and the ability to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Support system level radar or weapon systems integration planning, execution, and reporting
  • Prepare integration documentation, such as plans, procedures, and integration information sheets
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
  • Analyze data for hardware, software, and simulations
  • Utilize data analysis results to support issue identification and resolution as well as system level requirements verification
  • Collaborate across engineering functions to drive performance and resolve issues
  • Interface with internal and external customers, and find technical solutions to complex requirements
  • Generate technical documentation in support of requirements integration and verification
  • Schedule flexibility to support integration and test activities during 2nd shift in Pelham
  • Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 25% of the time.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience in software or systems integration and verification
  • Experience with MATLAB
  • Active and transferable US government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • US citizenship is required, as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in development of test scripts and automation techniques or methodologies
  • Experience with programming in C/C++, Python, or other programming language
  • Experience with DOORS or a related database for requirements management and linking requirements to test procedures
  • Experience with network configurations and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Linux/UNIX command line.
