About the position

Raytheon is seeking a talented System Security Engineering (SSE) Anti-Tamper (AT) candidate. This individual will be responsible for AT program execution. This person will also serve as a direct interface during important reviews, briefings, and technical exchange/demos. Communication and collaboration with the customer as well as with other engineering disciplines is required to ensure the program-level chief engineers and architectures support the program's needs. The person in this role will lead the analysis of AT issues that directly affect the system. The successful candidate will have a security conscious approach to take into consideration the systems level effect to resolving complex programs and the ability to convince leadership that the proposed solution is best for the mission (including program cost, schedule, and technical). The individual will work with the program and customer in the development of the system, providing strategic input and planning for the system, applications, architecture, and design in a dynamic, agile development environment. In this role, you will implement SSE AT solutions into RTX products, interact with customers to define SSE AT requirements, solutions, trades, costs, implementation, system impacts, and effectiveness. You will support developing plans and estimates, task execution, project tracking, reporting, and risk identification and mitigation plans. Additionally, you will plan and guide SSE AT implementations in customer systems, consult and assist program line management with SSE AT architectures and issues, and conduct attack threat modeling and Critical Program Information Assessments. You will also be responsible for developing top-level system requirements and ensuring compliance with DoD technology release and export licensing policies. Supporting the development of bids and proposals and working with Earned Value Management (EVM) will also be part of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Implement SSE AT solutions into RTX products
  • Interact with customer to define SSE AT requirements, solutions, trades, costs, implementation, system impacts, and effectiveness
  • Support developing plans and estimates, task execution, project tracking, reporting, and risk identification and mitigation plans
  • Plan and guide SSE AT implementations in customer systems
  • Consult and assist program line management with SSE AT architectures and issues
  • Conduct attack threat modeling and Critical Program Information Assessments
  • Develop top-level system requirements and flow down requirements and implementation concepts to subsystems
  • Ensure understanding and compliance with DoD technology release and export licensing policies
  • Support the development of bids and proposals
  • Work with Earned Value Management (EVM)

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 3 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience in the fields of System Security Engineering, computer technology reverse engineering, Anti Tamper, cybersecurity, or embedded security.
  • Experience designing, implementing, testing, and fielding real-time embedded security-oriented solutions on Department of Defense (DoD) programs with secure systems technologies, methodologies, policies, and guidelines.
  • Experience generating security (anti-tamper and/or program protection) requirements, design and architecture artifacts, plans, and/or policies.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain additional program access as required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in design, development and fielding of SSE systems
  • Software, Firmware, & Microelectronics Engineering, Cryptography and FPGA design
  • Experience in the implementation and business growth of SSE implementation throughout the entire life cycle
  • Experience in solutions meeting robust SSE systems security requirements
  • Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Computer Science, Engineering Science, Business Administration, and/or Robotics
  • DoD Top Secret clearance with current SSBI within last 5 years desired
  • Cyber Certifications in accordance with DoDD 8570/DoDD 8140 such as CISSP, GSLC, CEH
  • Program management experience with SSE
  • Broad understanding of technology and working knowledge of DODI-S-5230.28
  • Aircraft/weapons integration experience
  • Strategic planning and proposal writing skills
  • Candidate must exhibit an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with coworkers, suppliers, stakeholders, and customers in a team environment
