About the position

The Senior Systems Engineer position is a critical role within the healthcare industry, focusing on the design, implementation, and management of virtualization and infrastructure solutions. This hybrid role requires expertise in VMware, Windows, and Office 365, and involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration. The position also includes mentoring junior engineers and providing expert-level support to internal teams and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage virtualization and infrastructure solutions using VMware technologies.
  • Oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of Windows servers and workstations in a hybrid cloud environment.
  • Administer and support Office 365 applications, ensuring optimal performance, security, and user experience.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex system issues, providing expert-level support to internal teams and clients.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and processes.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, security, and network engineering, to ensure seamless integration of systems.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering, with a strong focus on VMware, Windows, and Office 365.
  • Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent preferred.
  • Proficiency in virtualization technologies (VMware ESXi, vSphere), Windows Server (2016/2019), and Office 365 administration.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
