About the position

The Senior Systems Engineer at Astute Technology Management is responsible for providing advanced technical support and network management for SMB customers. This role serves as the escalation point for Level I and Level II technicians, focusing on network administration, server management, and cybersecurity solutions. The position requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while interacting with customers effectively.

Responsibilities

• Planning and implementing network infrastructure builds and changes
• Planning and implementing migration services for clients
• Configuring and deploying firewalls, switches, access points and related hardware
• Troubleshooting complex network and server issues
• Responding to incoming support calls and emails
• Opening, working on, and closing Help Desk tickets
• Providing mobile device support
• Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows OS and MacOS
• Migrating user data
• Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows Server OS
• Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting server virtualization

Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of experience in network and server management with proven examples of increased technical responsibility
• Minimum 2 years help desk experience
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated
• Experience resolving desktop/laptop issues
• Experience resolving advanced network issues
• Experience with Windows 10/11
• Experience with Windows Server OS
• Experience with Hyper-V and VMWare
• Experience with Microsoft Azure
• Experience with Microsoft products (Microsoft 365 Administration, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, SQL, etc)
• Comfortable interacting with customers
• Comfortable working independently
• Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
