About the position

The Senior Systems Integration & Test Engineer will be a key member of the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team, responsible for supporting the daily execution of activities on a complex satellite ground system. This role involves providing technical support, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring the smooth operation of software deliveries and system integration testing in a classified environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide regular updates to the on-site SETA team via a daily status page and in-person engagements
• Support weekly SETA and team lead technical tag-ups
• Support Change Management Board meetings as needed
• Provide technical SME support as an on-site E2 Systems Integration & Test Engineer
• Work in a classified lab on site
• Work in an Agile program environment

Requirements

• Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant systems integration and test experience or 5 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in STEM
• Experience working on-site in a badgeless environment with multiple stakeholders
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving software system execution problems
• Experience with systems engineering principles and activities
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with Poly security clearance is required prior to start date

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working in a Satellite Ground System development or operations environment
• Experience with ground station and satellite domains (such as terrestrial data networking, command and telemetry, launch operations, flight dynamics, mission planning, on-orbit operations)
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
• Test Automation experience (Cucumber, Gherkin, home-grown)
• Experience with Java, C++, or Python
• Experience with Linux operating system
