This position is for a Senior Systems Engineer who will provide engineering leadership to Systems Engineering Integration & Test teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating test plans and procedures for assessing Electronic Warfare (EW) system performance, as well as generating test documentation for verification and acceptance of components, subsystems, and systems. The role involves architecting test configurations for exercising the Unit Under Test in both lab and field environments, collaborating with other disciplines to develop Special Test Equipment for Subsystems/Systems Integration and Test, and planning and executing Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) activities as the technical lead for multidisciplinary Integration and Test teams. Additionally, the Senior Systems Engineer will execute in-house and off-site test activities for system demonstrations and/or system sell-off, and will be responsible for briefing senior program management and engineering leadership on the progress and results of these activities. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Generate test plans/procedures for assessing EW system performance
  • Generate test documentation for verification/acceptance of components, subsystems, and systems
  • Architect test configurations for exercising the Unit Under Test in both lab and field environments
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to develop Special Test Equipment for Subsystems/Systems Integration and Test
  • Plan IV&V activities
  • Execute IV&V activities as the technical lead for multidisciplinary Integration and Test teams
  • Execute in-house and off-site test activities for system demonstrations and/or system sell-off
  • Brief senior program management and engineering leadership

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline (preferably Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or Physics) with a minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
  • Experience with EW/Radar systems integration, verification, and validation
  • Experience preparing system/subsystem test documentation (e.g., plans, procedures, and reports)
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience writing requirements for EW/Radar system test events
  • Experience leading system test equipment and special test equipment development activities
  • Experience troubleshooting, testing, and integrating EW/Radar system test equipment
  • Experience modeling the performance of EW/Radar systems
  • Experience with millimeter and microwave RF at both the system and module levels
