We are currently seeking Senior Systems Network Applications Architect with a strong background in systems integration of Signals Intelligence, Electronic Warfare, and offensive Cyber RF systems. Ideal candidate will have 10+ years of systems integration experience with a focus on SIGINT, EW, and/or Cyber software and tactical software defined radio transceiver hardware. Mastodon Design is headquartered in Rochester, NY but remote candidates for this position will be considered if access to sensitive, compartmented information facilities are available in the local area and accessible by the applicant.

  • Working with Product Line Management to develop a family of tactical mission computer hardware products for hosting 2nd and 3rd party SIGINT, EW, and Cyber applications to supplement existing Mastodon Design tactical systems.
  • Defining and deriving requirements associated with 2nd and 3rd party SIGINT, EW, and Cyber applications which will drive SDR API design and hardware capabilities for current and future Mastodon Design products.
  • Contributing as a hands on integration engineer to integrate and exercise the full capability stack, mature the integration solution in the laboratory, and prepare integrated capabilities for operations.
  • Helping create proposals/white papers and associated estimates for future development efforts involving 2nd and 3rd party capabilities.
  • Providing customer support of demonstrating TRL-6 capabilities for 2nd and 3rd party capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar technical discipline and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the field.
  • Strong Experience integrating SIGINT, EW, and/or Cyber applications with tactical SDR hardware and demonstrating these capabilities in operationally representative field environments, including deploying these systems on classified networks.
  • Ability to troubleshoot full capability stack, from radio hardware (antennas, RF connections) to SDR software/firmware, to 2nd and 3rd party SIGINT, EW, and Cyber software applications hosted on tactical mission computer hardware and the external connections from those applications to remote endpoints and clients.
  • Ability to work with electrical/hardware and software engineers to produce integrated products and solutions.
