About The Position

The Senior Systems Engineer at Fisher Investments is responsible for managing the Windows/Citrix environment, ensuring the delivery of systems infrastructure solutions from design to implementation. This role involves leading technical projects, providing solutions to complex challenges, and collaborating with various departments to enhance technology projects. The position emphasizes end-to-end ownership of Citrix Systems and End Point issues, aiming to improve processes and user experience.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Systems Engineering with a focus on Citrix.
  • Extensive experience in large-scale Citrix environments, preferably VDI.
  • Experience with VDI, Mobility, Citrix, and collaboration solutions including Office 365, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing technology roadmaps.
  • Experience in managing end-point operational analytics and end-user experience monitoring solutions.
  • Experience working with Procurement and Service Desk teams for license compliance.
  • Ability to prioritize user community satisfaction and feedback.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Windows Systems Management and Patch management Technologies (SCCM, Group Policy, WSUS).
  • Demonstrated experience improving end-user experience from a hardware and access perspective.

Responsibilities

  • Design and engineer large-scale systems infrastructure solutions.
  • Manage technical aspects of assigned projects, including planning and issue resolution.
  • Provide technical solutions for complex challenges for IT and business-facing customers.
  • Ensure successful implementation of technology projects in collaboration with other departments.
  • Lead a team in daily support of the current environment to improve end-user experience.
  • Assist with support of enterprise applications and software in various end-user environments.
  • Research and test solutions to application technical issues, including automation scripting.
  • Resolve escalated incidents and participate in problem management activities.
  • Provide feedback to Engineering regarding product quality and potential areas for improvement.
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Windows and Citrix servers.
  • Implement applications and virtual desktop solutions using the Citrix portfolio.
