About the position
The Senior Systems Security Administrator will support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division in Newport, focusing on the management and security of both unclassified and classified networks. This role involves configuring, deploying, and maintaining various operating systems, ensuring compliance with security standards, and providing IT and information assurance support. The position offers a hybrid working environment, balancing on-site and remote work.
Responsibilities
- Support DoD unclassified and classified networks
- Configure, deploy, operate, and maintain Windows workstations and server operating systems
- Manage Windows Server 2016 or newer and Linux operating systems
- Implement hardening measures for Windows environments according to DISA STIG and IAV compliance
- Provide IT/IA Customer Support Services
- Administer SharePoint IT/IA, including Web parts, Web pages, and Document libraries
- Perform vulnerability scanning, analysis, and reporting
- Work in a hybrid environment (50% Government Site / 50% Remote)
Requirements
- Possesses at a minimum Security+ CE certification, or equivalent certifications at a minimum of the IAT Level II
- Possesses Windows 10 or higher Operating System certification
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level clearance
- Possesses Windows Server 2016 or higher Operating System certification
- Meets the requirements equivalent to SECNAV M-5239.2 Appendix 4, specialty Area Code 45 - System Administration at an Intermediate or Advanced Level
