About the position

The Senior Systems Service Engineer is responsible for managing customer contracts, performing preventative maintenance, and providing on-site support. This role involves ensuring systems are updated, preparing upgrade plans, and conducting technical reviews. The engineer will also analyze risks associated with expansion projects, support sales efforts, and ensure customer satisfaction by adhering to contractual obligations. Additionally, the position requires performing system testing and coordinating with the factory for product-related issues.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer contracts by performing preventative maintenance visits and documenting reports.
  • Ensure that the customer's system is updated to the latest software and hardware.
  • Prepare upgrade plans for the customer's systems and deliver them to the customer.
  • Follow all technical procedures and tools for Global Service.
  • Provide technical review of orders for clients and proposals requested.
  • Analyze technical risk of expansion projects and upgrades.
  • Attend technical training on systems, instruments, application, process control, communication, and safety.
  • Support Sales as directed by the Regional Service Manager to secure orders and service agreements.
  • Understand and enforce Schneider Electric contractual obligations on major projects.
  • Handle overall technical responsibilities for one or more projects, including specification, functionality, testing, and commissioning.
  • Perform system testing, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and develop test documents.
  • Document preparation and obtain customer's approval per document specification and schedule.
  • Coordinate with factory for product-related issues and resolve.

Requirements

  • A recognized Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science or Process Control.
  • 5+ years of professional experience with specific knowledge of Foxboro IA or Triconex systems.
  • Ability to install hardware and software, perform configuration, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Familiarity with products and services in the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, and Chemical industry.
  • Knowledge of HMI software, DCS systems, and field instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of Foxboro and Wonderware.
  • Strong analytical and logical ability, good judgment, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with good leadership abilities.
  • Innovative and dynamic with effective communication skills, especially in inter-cultural aspects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Windows Operating Systems, Unix, DCS, Safety Systems, PLCs, Communication protocols, Networking, and System Security.
