About the position

The Senior Systems Test Engineer (Automation Test Engineer) role at Raytheon involves developing, implementing, and maintaining a test automation strategy to enhance the efficiency of regression testing. This position is critical in ensuring that systems are integrated, verified, and validated effectively, contributing to the overall mission of providing secure and reliable defense solutions. The engineer will work closely with teams to analyze existing tests, automate processes, and support system integration in a DevSecOps environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current regression tests and develop a strategy to increase test automation for nightly execution.
• Integrate relevant manual tests into the nightly regression tests to ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Perform routine Integration, Verification, & Test (IV&T) tasks to support the execution of PI objectives and test system capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in STEM with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Postgres and SQL databases for complex queries.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as bash, perl, and python, and ability to query Oracle DB and MongoDB.
• Experience in a DevSecOps environment, including familiarity with the Atlassian Suite (Jira and Confluence).
• Active and transferrable U.S. government issued Top Secret/SCI with SSBI Poly security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Systems Engineering (SE) or Test Execution (TE) experience on large government software development contracts.
• Experience with SE process development and deployment.
• Familiarity with configuration management concepts and tools.
• Experience with Gherkin and Cucumber.
