About the position

The Senior Tableau Dashboard Developer is a remote position focused on designing, developing, publishing, testing, and troubleshooting dashboards and data sources using Tableau. This role involves working closely with various departments to create analytic solutions tailored to client needs, leveraging a variety of programming languages and tools. The developer will also be responsible for data integration, complex data management, and ensuring the effective use of Tableau within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify reports and dashboards for specific departments.
• Provide connections to new and existing data sources.
• Prepare data for use in Tableau and develop extracts.
• Publish data sources and workbooks in Tableau.
• Develop custom scripts and coordinate releases of data and workbooks.
• Perform complex technical tasks such as integration with R.
• Design, develop, publish, test, and troubleshoot dashboards and data sources.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience using Tableau, including creating complex calculations, parameters, and dashboard actions.
• Proven experience in data integration and complex data management.
• Experience with R or other statistical programming languages.
• Strong SQL skills for querying and data manipulation.
• Active Secret level clearance with willingness/ability to acquire Top Secret clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Graduate degree in a related field.
• Experience with Tableau Server and Tableau Prep.
• Experience with Azure Synapse.
• Familiarity with other BI tools and data visualization software.
• Previous experience working in a secure or classified environment.
