About the position

The Senior Tableau Developer role focuses on developing Tableau reports and assisting in the design and development of database architecture. This position involves creating strategies for data acquisition, ensuring data quality, and migrating data from legacy systems to new applications. The developer will also be responsible for writing custom SQL scripts and implementing ETL/ELT solutions to support data ingestion and distribution.

Responsibilities

• Develop Tableau Reports.
• Assist in the design and development of database architecture including relational data structures, data marts, data dictionaries, and logical and physical data models.
• Develop strategies for data acquisitions, data quality, and data discrepancy.
• Assist in migration and integration of data and processes from legacy systems to new applications and technologies.
• Develop and maintain efficient, well-documented custom SQL scripts, stored procedures, and triggers using Microsoft T-SQL.
• Access data stored in various database management systems such as DB2 and SQL Server.
• Design, develop, and implement ETL/ELT solutions for data ingestion, cleansing, and business rules execution.
• Implement Data Analytics best practices in designing data modeling, ETL Pipelines, and near-time data solutions.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of prior experience in relevant fields.
• More than 5 years of experience with Tableau.
• More than 5 years of experience writing complex SQL queries.
• More than 5 years of expertise with TSQL, SSRS, SSIS, or Talend.
• Experience with debugging and improving query performance.
• Experience with deploying SSIS packages using git check-in and setting up environmental variables.
• Experience with Transact-SQL and stored procedures is desired.
• Experience with creating, deploying, and maintaining Talend reports.
• Experience with code control/version Team Foundation.
• Strong problem-solving, cross-functional analysis, and forward-thinking abilities.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing situations, handle multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.

• Experience with Salesforce.
