About the position

The Senior Talent Acquisition Partner at Johnson Controls is a key role within the Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence, responsible for managing recruitment efforts across North America for various business units. This position serves as an advisor to hiring leaders and HR, focusing on developing and executing data-driven hiring strategies to attract diverse talent. The role emphasizes building strong relationships, understanding market conditions, and optimizing the recruitment process to enhance the company's culture and meet hiring goals.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out day-to-day talent acquisition efforts for complex and unique positions across several functions and business groups.
  • Facilitate and partner with Hiring Teams on recruitment and sourcing strategy discussions, validating position requirements.
  • Develop and execute robust recruitment strategies that result in faster time-to-fill metrics and quality hires.
  • Provide consultative feedback and direction about external labor market conditions, candidate needs, and sourcing and candidate selection strategy.
  • Participate and/or lead in regular cadence/accountability calls with business.
  • Understand and execute the talent acquisition process, meeting service-level agreement expectations.
  • Participate and/or lead in functional projects to optimize the talent acquisition process and results.
  • Educate yourself on your functional business responsibility and identify and engage key relationships.
  • Set expectations and establish good communication habits with customers.
  • Leverage sourcing tools provided and establish yourself as a brand ambassador for Johnson Controls.

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in recruitment, with substantial experience in a corporate talent acquisition environment.
  • Competence in developing and executing candidate sourcing strategies.
  • Knowledge of recruiting and staffing laws with a strong process-oriented mindset.
  • Technology aptitude, including experience with Workday (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, and other direct sourcing tools.
  • Strong understanding of Boolean search language and its application to internet and database searches.
