About the position

The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist at OneMain Financial serves as a consultative advisor in the Talent Acquisition process, focusing on attracting high-quality professional talent and enhancing the company's brand across various markets. This role involves managing the full recruiting process, building strong relationships with senior leaders, and ensuring an excellent candidate experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to develop sourcing and recruiting strategies that meet business needs.
  • Create and implement proactive recruiting plans for open positions and future talent pipelines.
  • Research, recommend, and implement innovative sourcing channels for both active and passive talent pools.
  • Promote the benefits of a career at OneMain, highlighting culture, growth strategies, and career development opportunities.
  • Maintain excellent candidate management through proactive communication throughout the recruitment process.
  • Coach and guide hiring manager teams on best practices for a consistent interview process.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and HR teams to develop and present competitive job offers.
  • Communicate effectively with candidates, utilizing persuasive messaging to highlight the role and company benefits.
  • Serve as a mentor to peers in the Talent Acquisition team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Human Resources experience in agency or corporate environments with an emphasis on Talent Acquisition.
  • Sophisticated influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Proven track record of thriving in a fast-paced environment with short lead times.
  • Ability to apply sound judgement in new or ambiguous situations.
  • Open and eager to receive feedback and coaching.
  • Sustain a high degree of composure while under pressure.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in recruiting for a wide range of positions, from entry level to Director.
  • Previous experience as team lead or peer mentor in Human Resources or Talent Acquisition.
