About the position

Wen Jiang & Company, PC, a growing local CPA firm, is seeking a full-time Senior Tax Accountant to join their team in Tigard, OR. The role involves preparing and filing complex tax returns, managing junior accountants, and ensuring compliance with federal and state tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive tax preparation experience and strong organizational skills to handle multiple client accounts effectively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file complex tax returns on behalf of clients
• Compile supporting financial statements and documents
• Review returns prepared by junior accountants
• Assist with federal and state tax audits
• Respond to inquiries from clients and regulatory agencies
• Perform tax research, staying up to date on changes
• Delegate work and manage the flow of tax returns or projects
• Review client's QuickBooks file and propose adjusting journal entries

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• CPA license required
• 5+ years of tax preparation & accounting experience
• Experience with Ultra Tax and QuickBooks preferred
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to adhere to given budgets and time deadlines
