About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in tax accounting, focusing on corporate and individual tax advisory and compliance. This role requires analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients to navigate complex tax situations while ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
• Conduct thorough account analysis to identify tax-saving opportunities and ensure accuracy in reporting.
• Provide guidance on tax implications related to wills, trusts, and estate law.
• Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and communicate relevant information to clients.
• Utilize accounting software such as Quickbooks Online and Xero for efficient tax preparation and reporting.
• Assist in the training and mentoring of junior staff members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or EA certification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations.
• Experience in wills, trusts, estate law, and estate planning is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
• Effective communication skills for client interactions and presentations.
