Crawford, Carter & Durbin LLC CPAs is a fast-growing and exciting non-traditional CPA firm located in Arlington, Texas, seeking a Full-Time EXPERIENCED Senior Tax Accountant. The firm is dedicated to helping clients build successful businesses, achieve their dreams, and minimize their tax liabilities legally. With two main locations in Arlington and Mineral Wells, Texas, the firm also offers CFO Services and has a synergistic Wealth Management division that assists clients with retirement plans, comprehensive financial planning, and Tax Smart investing. As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing business and personal tax returns for small business clients. This role involves managing the tax return process from the initial client meeting through to the delivery and filing of returns, and may also include communication with the IRS. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax reduction strategies and will be able to apply this knowledge effectively in their work. You will also be expected to prepare and/or review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review business and personal tax returns for small business clients from initial meeting through delivery and filing of returns.
  • Communicate with clients regarding their tax needs and concerns.
  • Record tax entries into accounting software accurately.
  • Understand and apply tax reduction strategies effectively.
  • Prepare and/or review financial statements as required.

Requirements

  • 3 years of Tax Preparation Experience is a Must.
  • Proven work experience as a Tax Senior/Tax Associate.
  • Basic knowledge of the tax code for individuals and small businesses.
  • Must be a licensed tax preparer, EA, or CPA.
  • Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
  • QuickBooks accounting software experience is required.
  • Computer literacy, numerical skills, and attention to detail are essential.
