About the position

Aston Carter is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join a fast-growing industry leader in West Palm Beach, Florida. This role involves preparing and reviewing complex federal and state corporate tax returns, as well as assisting with various tax-related tasks and compliance obligations. The position requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in tax software, with a focus on ensuring accurate tax filings and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex federal and state corporate tax returns
• Prepare and review ASC 740 provision, deferred analysis, and related footnote disclosures
• Assist in the preparation and review of the state of quarterly tax journal entries and account reconciliations
• Evaluate tax assessments and exemptions
• Assist with tax authority notices and/or audits as needed
• Assist in the completion of relevant domestic tax filing obligations, filings related to government-required tax accounting disclosures
• Assist in the gathering of data necessary for audits by governmental tax units, data used in the tax compliance process
• Perform general research on tax issues
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Corptax, ProSystems, Axcess, and SAP software

Requirements

• 5+ Years of Experience in Federal Corporate Tax Return Filing
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or similar field
• Strong Excel Skills
• Proficient in filing C-corp tax, state return compliance, and tax research
• CPA Preferred
