Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients.
  • Research and analyze tax issues and stay updated on current tax laws and regulations.
  • Utilize CCH software for tax preparation and research.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information and provide clear, accurate, and timely communication.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff members, providing training and development opportunities.
  • Participate in continuing education programs to maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and best practices.
  • Assist with IRS and state tax audits, including preparation and representation.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably in a public accounting firm.
  • Proficiency with CCH software and other tax preparation tools.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
