About the position

Moore Colson is seeking dynamic Senior Tax Managers to join their growing Tax practice in Atlanta. This role involves providing innovative tax planning and compliance services to clients, ensuring high-quality service and collaboration within the team. The Senior Tax Manager will be responsible for reviewing tax returns, delegating tasks, preparing complex business income tax returns, and developing staff members.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing tax returns of varying complexities
• Delegating tax preparation and research to staff as appropriate
• Preparing complex business income tax returns
• Providing tax consulting and projections
• Assuming client service responsibility
• Developing staff members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required; master's degree in taxation preferred
• Current CPA license required
• 6-8 years experience preparing corporate, partnership, and individual income tax returns in a public accounting firm
• Minimum of one (1) year experience supervising and directing work of tax preparers
• Exceptional Excel skills
• Proficiency with tax automation / workflow software is a plus
• Consultative approach and client service oriented
• Exceptional and proactive communicator (verbal & written)
• Self-Directed, Autonomous, Ambitious
