About the position

The Senior Tax Professional position at a growing CPA firm involves preparing and reviewing complex tax returns while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws. This role is crucial for maintaining client relationships and providing excellent service, as well as conducting in-depth tax research to stay updated on regulatory changes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review complex tax returns, including corporate, partnership, individual, and fiduciary returns.
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns, in accordance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
  • Manage all aspects of tax compliance, ensuring all filings are complete and submitted on time.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client inquiries, ensuring excellent service and maintaining long-term client relationships.
  • Conduct in-depth tax research on various topics, including emerging tax issues and regulatory changes, and interpret their impact on clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • CPA required
  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Excel, and ProSystem fx Tax

Benefits

  • Base salary of $100,000/year
  • Hybrid work model with 3 days in office and 2 days remote
