About the position

MSA has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Team Leader - Engineering at our Bettendorf, IA office! This person will provide management to a high performing municipal engineering team on our Public Works service line. They will be expected to scope and fee project efforts, work directly with existing and new clients as well as aid in mentoring staff.

Responsibilities

  • Team management including mentoring, professional development of team, managing workload of staff, setting priorities, managing the team resources, and team financial management.
  • Project management including project planning, scoping, budgeting, contracting, design, and QA/QC.
  • Project work for various municipal project types and sizes.
  • Working with MSA leadership on strategic initiatives and business strategies.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with clients.
  • Travel to other company offices, trade shows, and industry conferences is expected approximately 10% of the time, depending on the business need.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or similar field required.
  • Professional Engineer License (PE) license in Iowa preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience with civil engineering and consulting required.
  • 2+ years of project management in civil engineering required.
  • Prior experience with mentoring and managing a team required.
  • This position requires you to have authorization to work in the United States for any employer. We will not provide sponsorship for this position.
