In this role, you will be responsible for solutioning new Cloud approaches to events that surface to improve the operations of Cloud Infrastructure. You will review, improve, and approve architectural modifications to existing Cloud Infrastructure through formal change management processes. Your responsibilities will include the installation and configuration of application components of solutions, serving as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues related to application and server performance. You will need to be an expert in Windows Server 2019, Windows Desktop, Red Hat Linux, and Oracle Linux operating systems. Additionally, you will manage all scheduled maintenance across all servers, in support of service level agreements, and submit change control for all scheduled maintenance. You will also be responsible for maintaining a solid working knowledge of security compliance according to State and Federal security policies and regulations. This includes supporting centralized logging capabilities, provisioning tight controls over access to all Servers, and accountability for remediation of ongoing penetration test findings. Furthermore, you will validate and support the disaster recovery plan for all server and application components of OSGS State contracts. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or 4+ years of equivalent experience
  • 3+ years System Administration experience with Windows and Unix
  • 2+ years Azure Administration experience
  • 2+ years of understanding of Linux systems administration, maintenance and security
  • 2+ years of understanding of Windows systems administration, maintenance and security
  • 2+ years of general auditing/troubleshooting experience on all levels (network, Linux, software, hardware)
  • 1+ years of experience with key Azure services, including Jenkins, Terraform, Github, Azure Web Services, Kubernetes, Azure Devops

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience managing high availability virtual environments utilizing VMWare
  • Experience with and willingness to support 24x7 production environments
  • Knowledge of Network Administration (Firewall, ACLs/NAT, design, upgrades, security)
  • Working knowledge of Scripting and automation tools like Python/Shell/Perl
  • Understanding of TCP/IP and networking fundamentals
  • Day-to-day troubleshooting of application and database connectivity problems
  • Proactive application monitoring and trouble resolution
  • Report writing in support of service level agreement reporting requirements
  • Process and procedure documentation for contractual required documentation, including an operations manual for ongoing support of the environment.
