About the position

The Senior WHS Logistics Technician plays a crucial role in supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring the timely and accurate handling of materials. This position operates under the guidance of the Logistics Manager and is responsible for adhering to safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). The technician will manage inventory processes, including picking, delivering, and quarantining materials, while utilizing SAP for inventory transactions and maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to manufacturing areas under the direction of the Logistics Manager.
  • Adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Pick and deliver materials to the IPT KanBan in a timely manner.
  • Remove nonconforming material from stock and notify the Quality Inspector.
  • Pick material based on transfer request requirements on a first expiry, first out (FEFO) basis.
  • Issue and receive materials in SAP via Inventory Transaction Entry.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and/or quality on inaccurate or nonconforming receivables.
  • Perform required data entry functions in SAP to execute the shipping process.
  • Operate forklift or powered lift to load materials onto freight trucks.
  • Utilize understanding of cold chain shipping and distribution processes.
  • Perform regular cycle counts to ensure system inventory accuracy.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required.
  • 4 years of cGMP warehouse experience.
  • Forklift Certification required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with SAP.

Nice-to-haves

  • SAP Subject Matter Expert.
  • Current Forklift Certification.
  • 4-5 years of pharmaceutical warehouse experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Cold Chain Management practices.
  • Demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
