About the position

Responsibilities
- Lead a team of technical writers in developing technical materials.
- Plan, manage, research, and create original materials for selected functions.
- Research, interpret, and analyze subject matter laws and agency policies to prepare final documents.
- Review edits and modifications presented by technical writers.
- Edit materials for grammatical correctness and consistency in style and form.
- Create, evaluate, and rewrite documents to improve presentation and clarity.
Requirements
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level in the Federal service, including experience in creative writing and editing techniques.
- Experience with research methods to create final products from various sources.
- Knowledge of tax law and related programs, policies, and publications.
- Familiarity with government publication rules and regulations.
- Experience in Accounts Management Programs and providing guidance for both paper and phone programs.
Nice-to-haves
- Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant field.
- Three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education in a relevant field.
