About the position

The Senior Technical Account Manager for Alternative Investments at Bloomberg is responsible for delivering exceptional service and technical support to content partners and customers in the private markets data sector. This role involves establishing and maintaining relationships with partners, leading projects to improve efficiency, and becoming a subject matter expert in Alternative Investments to enhance data acquisition and content improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding support to content partners to ensure trust in Bloomberg's platform.
  • Establish, maintain, and improve relationships with content partners to implement technologies and facilitate efficient onboarding of new data sets.
  • Prioritize and lead projects with multiple partners to improve efficiency and return on investment.
  • Work closely with Account Managers, Technical Specialists, and Product Managers to understand clients' data needs and develop account strategies.
  • Proactively handle campaigns to engage with content partners and maintain the quality of contributed content.
  • Support colleagues with campaigns to ensure high standards across the team.
  • Become a subject matter expert in Alternative Investments to identify trends and areas for data content improvements.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant data technology or financial field, or equivalent professional work experience.
  • 5+ years of work experience in the Financial Services industry, including exchanges, market data providers, or financial institutions.
  • Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple client queries and projects simultaneously.
  • Understanding of capital markets and the investment lifecycle for private assets.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a desire to work directly with customers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification such as a CFA charter holder or CAIA.
  • Experience in using business intelligence to identify gaps and trends, or opportunities for product improvements.
  • Knowledge in information technology and statistical analysis or computer programming, for example, Excel, SQL, and/or Python.
