About the position

As a Technical Business Systems Analyst (TBSA) will serve as a critical bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring that business requirements are accurately translated into technical specifications. The TBSA will be involved in system analysis, process improvement, and the development of solutions that align with business objectives. This role requires a solid technical background, experience with Agile methodologies, and excellent communication skills to ensure systems and applications are designed, implemented, and maintained to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather and document business processes, requirements, and system enhancements.
  • Work with development teams to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with architectural standards.
  • Manage and prioritize the backlog of business and technical requirements.
  • Support production issues, analyze root causes, and provide resolutions.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, ensuring requirements are aligned with sprint goals.
  • Conduct gap analysis to identify areas for process and system improvement.
  • Support data migration, system tests, and data validation.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to address system-related issues or business inquiries.
  • Participate in off-hours system upgrades and implementations to ensure stability and functionality.
  • Recommend process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to high school graduation and a 4-year college/university degree in a job-related field OR equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience preferred in business systems analysis, technical product management, system analysis, or a similar role with emphasis in policy administration, customer service, or information services.
  • Proficiency in basic software applications including Word and Excel, and familiarity with relational database concepts and query writing.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Completion of LOMA courses is a plus.
