About the position

The Senior Technical Corporate Recruiter at NREL is responsible for developing and implementing recruitment strategies to attract scientific, technical, and operational talent. This role focuses on delivering recruitment success across the organization, engaging with internal and external talent, and ensuring a diverse and inclusive hiring process. The recruiter will work closely with management to assess workforce needs and fill positions efficiently while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Confer with management to conduct workforce planning and gap assessments.
  • Maintain understanding of the market for relevant skill sets and build candidate networks.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and management to deliver effective recruitment processes.
  • Lead intake meetings with hiring managers to set expectations and develop action plans.
  • Communicate regularly with management on open requisitions and candidate status.
  • Align, screen, and match candidate profiles with staffing objectives.
  • Source applicants through various means including advertising, networking, and job fairs.
  • Pre-screen job candidates through various communication methods.
  • Manage all communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Maintain accurate applicant data through the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Create and extend offers of employment within company procedures.
  • Contribute to and maintain recruiting reports and metrics.
  • Employ innovative sourcing strategies and stay current with industry trends.

Requirements

  • Relevant Bachelor's Degree and 9+ years of experience, or a Master's Degree and 7+ years, or a PhD and 4+ years, or a JD and 4+ years of experience.
  • Strong experience recruiting for Researchers, Managers, and Directors.
  • Experience working with foreign national candidates and applicable work authorizations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple requisitions.
  • Experience coaching managers through the hiring process.
  • Experience recruiting C-level executives.
  • Highly experienced using Workday.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience developing and implementing diversity hiring strategies.
  • Previous experience recruiting for DOE or DOD national labs.
  • Experience with recruiting tools and systems like LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Ability to assess and develop creative strategies to enhance candidate experience.
  • Experience mentoring other recruiters.
