Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and assistance to application development project teams and management.
  • Design, implement, and maintain database systems for the Illinois Department of Public Health.
  • Support multi-tier applications and systems critical to the agency's operations.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and availability of database systems.
  • Optimize database performance to meet agency needs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to databases.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in database design and administration.
  • Strong knowledge of database management systems (DBMS) such as SQL Server, Oracle, or similar.
  • Experience with multi-tier application architecture.
  • Ability to provide technical support and guidance to project teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
